Linda E. Wasielewski received her Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School, in Detroit, Michigan in 1978, and was admitted as an attorney to practice in the state of Michigan in 1978. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan in 1974.
Initially, she served as a Law Clerk for Judges of the Third Judicial Circuit in Oakland County. Thereafter, she served as an attorney for more than 15 years as the Chief Deputy Corporation Counsel for Oakland County. Her practice included matters in the Circuit and Probate courts, Court of Appeal and Michigan Supreme Court. Additionally, her representation has included practice before the Federal District Court, Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United State Supreme Court.
Educationally, Linda has enhanced her expertise by completing an advanced degree, obtaining a Master of Science in Taxation, has the ICLE Certificate in Estate Planning, and is Certified as a Civil Mediator, a Domestic Relations Mediator and a Probate Court Mediator.
Her private legal practice focus centers upon Estate Planning: Wills, Trusts, Durable Power of Attorneys, Patient Advocate Designations; Legacy Planning; Probate Court matters and Mediation. She is also skilled in Real Estate and Small Business matters. She is currently a member of the State Bar of Michigan, and the Probate and Estate Planning Section.
Linda is a member of Zonta Club of Traverse City, having served as a member of the Board. She is a former board member of Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan, former Council President of the First Congregational Church of Traverse City. Linda was a 1997-1998 participant in the Leadership Grand Traverse program.
Linda has two children and has lived on Old Mission Peninsula for over 15 years. She maintains a solo private practice with her office in Traverse City, Michigan.
